About two years ago, I tried to upgrade my blog and experienced a lot of problems. As we are about to embark on a new year, I thought now is the time to put back what I accidentally removed. So bear with me as I travel down memory lane.
My earliest recollection of making a cloth doll was age nine after receiving my first sewing machine for Christmas. My passion for sewing continued throughout the years with interests in needlework, quilting, painting, drawing and cooking.
Below is one of the early pictures of a doll I made for my grandmother living in New Mexico at the time. The year on the photo says 1987. The doll's face was embroidered, wearing a green and black taffeta dress with matching pantaloons, leather shoes, a black doll wig and a pearl necklace.
